How does your moving labor service work?

Start by reserving your professional movers using our fast and simple online booking system. A schedule coordinator will contact you at least 72 hours prior to your move date (sooner for same-day next-day moves). We need to ask a few questions to make sure we understand the important details of your move. This ensures your movers arrive prepared and are productive the moment the arrive.

To make a moving reservation we require a valid credit card. All you pay upfront is a one-time $38 Reservations & Support fee. This fee helps cover costs like mover background checks, 7-days-a-week customer service, and provide insurance for every move. We're committed to creating the best moving experience for Oregon households, and these steps help us achieve that goal. 

When your move is complete, the balance due is charged to the credit card provided when you made your reservation. You’ll receive a final sales receipt by email within one business day from your move date. If you have questions, our support team is available at (503) 388-5759 Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm, and Saturday and Sunday 9am to 3pm.

How much does it cost?

Our hourly rate for professional moving labor is $40/hour per mover Monday through Thursday, and $45/hour Friday through Sunday. Fill out the self-service form at the top of this page to receive an instant quote for your move type.

What do your movers bring with them to the job?

Our professional movers bring the moving equipment necessary to load and unload your items like a big-wheel dolly, furniture dolly, appliance dolly, lifting straps, and hand tools. Your moving coordinator will collect the information we need to ensure your moving crew brings the right equipment.

What do I need to provide on moving day?

For labor-only moves, you’ll need to provide a moving truck, a sufficient number of furniture pads, securing straps or rope, boxes, and packing materials (e.g. tape, plastic wrap, bubble wrap).

How do I book a moving crew?

There are two ways you can reserve a moving crew. The first option is to use our online reservation system. It's fast, easy to use, and shows the real-time availability of our moving teams. The second option is to call our Reservations team at (503) 388-5759. We're available Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm, and on weekends from 9am to 3pm.

+ My moving date could change. Should I schedule now?

Yes. We encourage you to make your reservation sooner to ensure a crew is assigned to your customer account. We understand plans change and so do moving dates (it happens all the time). With our FlexScheduleTM service, you can reschedule at any time at no cost. We allow online rescheduling up to two hours before your move. If you need to reschedule less than two hours from your start time, we ask that you call our Reservations team at (503) 388-5759 so we can make sure all parties are notified. Thanks!

+ Do I need to provide transportation between my load and unload locations for your movers?

No. Our movers provide their own transportation for all parts of your move.

+ Is there a hourly minimum or minimum charge?

Yes. There is a two-hour minimum for our Moving Labor services.

+ Do you charge for drive time?

Yes. We have local operations in Portland, Salem and Eugene. We dispatch our moving crews from the local "terminal" closest to you. The time it takes us to drive to your starting location from our local terminal and back to the terminal from your ending location is considered drive time. We include a drive time estimate in our quotes and use the Google Maps API to determine the distance and duration calculations.

We make every effort to fulfill same-day requests. Generally speaking, we're able to dispatch 2-person crews in 2-3 hours depending on location and availability.
